Energy drink

Energy drinks refer to beverages that are intended to provide instant energy by using a combination of methylxanthines , B vitamins , and other herbal ingredients . Energy drinks include caffeine, guarana , taurine , creatine , ginseng , ginkobiloba and much more . Some of them contain high levels of sugar or glucose whereas others ffer an artificially sweetened version.

At times powerful stimulant such as carnitine are added. These drinks have a good market among several sections of people such as students, youngsters, frequent travelers and sports personalities.

The most popular addictive ingredients in these drinks include caffeine and guarana. They cause physical addiction in large doses or with prolonged use. Over a period of time people become addict to these drinks and withdrawal becomes difficult. Often withdrawal may cause headaches as far as physical factor is concerned. But mostly it said that the addiction is psychological. Many people complain against these drinks for marketing irresponsible to the youth.
